Where to Begin

~~ A sister wrote in, " When this happened to me back in October 2019! I was stunned, shocked, mad, confused! Don’t remember any questions in general but I wanted quick and easy references! Like people to follow on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram! What is the best bible! I was confused and still are about the Hebrew language! What all the new words I was seeing and hearing! What do all the holidays were biblical, what is the calendar? Head covering, where do I get them and how do I use them!"

When it comes to Shabbat! How is it supposed to look!?

NOT like how Judaism practices it.

What about the holidays or Holy days?

Some families feel led to follow the Feast days right away, others choose later on down the line. The same applies to various worldly holidays which are currently celebrated. Things like Christmas, Easter, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Thanksgiving, Memorial and Labor days, as well as Independence Day here in the United States. We have followers at every level and we do our absolute best to teach them Yahweh's truth in the Word, then allow them to make their own decisions and judgments on the matters.

We do have several great teachings on each, and we invite you to check them out for your enrichment and study. Each will explain if we celebrate this holiday and why or why not. We hope this helps you greatly.

Hanukkah
Purim
Passover
Feasts of Unleavened Bread
First Fruits
Shavuot (Pentecost)
Feast of Trumpets (Yom Teruah or Rosh HasShanah)
Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement)
Sukkot
Christmas and Easter
Halloween
Thanksgiving
National Holidays (In America - 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Veteran's Day would be examples)

What is the best bible to use?

We don't actually have a favorite one that we recommend.  Each version has its pluses and minuses. This big reason is why we prefer to use what is currently available free online through one of the bible websites that have multiple versions available in a parallel format. We prefer this because it gives you the opportunity to be able to see the clearest translations of specific chapters and verses, helps in referring to the Hebrew or Greek texts, and makes vocabulary readily available for better understanding as well.

I was confused and still are about the Hebrew language!

   - do I need to learn all the Bible People's names in Hebrew? NO.
   - do I need to learn a certain name to have prayers answered? NO. Tower of babel, Yahweh confounded the languages. So the fact that people today speak so many different ones, they have transliterated the names into the language they understand. We also don't need to start memorizing all these fancy Hebrew phrases for greetings and such. Can you? SURE! We encourage people to keep learning throughout their lives. And learning a new language keeps your mind crisp. It is never a bad thing to add to your repertoire.

And this same principle can be applied to others in the New Testament as well.

Why is our focus on the Torah, not the gospels?
