"Gather the people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the LORD your God, and observe to do all the words of this law." Deuteronomy 31:12

"And he read therein before the street that was before the water gate from the morning until midday, before the men and the women, and those that could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive unto the book of the law." Nehemiah 8:3

"Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a tambourine in her hand; and all the women went out after her with tambourines and with dances." Exodus 15:20

"For I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage. I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam." Micah 6:4

"Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, she judged Israel at that time." Judges 4:4

"So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asaiah, went to Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe (now she lived in Jerusalem in the second quarter); and they talked [consulted] with her. She said to them, 'Thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel'......" 2 Kings 22:14

The Prophet Isaiah's wife was a prophetess. "I went to the prophetess, and she conceived, and bore a son. Then Yahweh said to me, "Call his name 'Maher Shalal Hash Baz.'" Isaiah 8:3

Believers in the New Testament scriptures can clearly see women performing in ministry roles: "There was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher (she was of a great age, having lived with a husband seven years from her virginity" Luke 2:36

Women worked along side the Apostle Paul:
"Yes, I beg you also, true partner, help these women, for they labored with me in the Good News [The Gospel], with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life." Philippians 4:3

"And I commend you to Phebe our sister -- being a ministrant of the assembly that is in Cenchrea" Romans 16:1

"Now this man had four virgin daughters who prophesied." Acts 21:9
